Morris Louis, who is well-known for his “Veil” paintings, is one of abstract expressionist painters. Louis developed the color field painting by his technique. He poured extremely diluted paints over an unprimed canvas. In this technique, brush strokes were removed, and also, any concrete figures were eliminated.
